Central place theory
Is a theory coming up through urban geography in 1933.Walter Christaller came up with the way to explain distribution patterns ,size and number of places, cities, towns, and communities.Instead of using regular shapes like others would.Christaller use hexagons to cause less confusion.
Also the hexagons eliminates overlap and unused area. One of the reasons of making or having this theory because people will go to the closest place that has the item. Threshold also goes along with Christaller theory. That showed Christaller the low and high order of good.
There are five sizes of communities hamlet, village, town, city, and regional capital. Hamlet is the smallest one which is like a community that is very very very small. While regional capitals provides for a very large amount.Christaller mainly rested his theory in Southern Germany to get his conclusions.
