Urbanism
Urbanism is both the material things for living and cultural things for living a life style.Also urbanism is another way of social interaction. There are eight basic principles of urbanism. One is walkability, which is being able to walk to a destination in 10 minutes without cars.
Another one is connectivity, which is another way making walking and communicating easier.Next is mixed use and diversity, which is a diversity of age,income,cultures, and race. Next is mixed housing, a range of different types, sizes, and prices in closer proximity. Quality archive and urban design, which is a talking about the beauty and human spirit to create a sense of place.
Green transportation, is another way if encouraging friendly transportation like bikes and scooters or walking.Increased density, is having stores, shops, services, homes, and other stuff closer together. traditional neighborhood structure, is another way of being able to reach destinations in 10 minutes or less while walking. Those are the eight basic principles of urbanism.

Gentrification
What is gentrification? Gentrification is the rehabilitation of deteriorated, often abandoned, housing of low income, inner city residents.In other words is when rich people move into a area with low income or poor people.Which that causes the neighborhood to change and people start to move. The poor people start to move
because they may not be able to afford the rent.
The advantages of gentrification is that it brings in more residents. More than likely it’s going to be near downtown. It brings back culture in the area.Also neighborhood rejuvenated.
The disadvantages of gentrification is that it can tear down for quick money making deals.Also it make it harder for low income to pay bills. Especially when high income people come and live. Those are some of the disadvantages of gentrification.

Central place theory
Is a theory coming up through urban geography in 1933.Walter Christaller came up with the way to explain distribution patterns ,size and number of places, cities, towns, and communities.Instead of using regular shapes like others would.Christaller use hexagons to cause less confusion.
Also the hexagons eliminates overlap and unused area. One of the reasons of making or having this theory because people will go to the closest place that has the item. Threshold also goes along with Christaller theory.That showed Christaller the low and high order of good.
There are five sizes of communities hamlet, village, town, city, and regional capital. Hamlet is the smallest one which is like a community that is very very very small. While regional capitals provides for a very large amount.Christaller mainly rested his theory in Southern Germany to get his conclusions.

While commercial farming focuses on selling, subsistence farming farms for their family or the community.Subsistence is a small farm compared to a larger farm for commercial. Commercial farming started in 1830 with the idea of Cyrus McCormick invention.While subsistence farming started as soon as vegetables and fruits and animals were able to grow.
With a commercial farm it’s more of a farm for Walmart, Publix, Winn Dixie, etc.Those places are called agribusiness.Instead if the food going directly to the agribusiness from the commercial farm to be processed. The idea of the fruit or veggie has been changed to something else before getting to its destination.All of that just for the money
While with a subsistence farming is for country’s or city’s without all of those big named agribusiness. Like KC’S Produce would be a subsistence farming agribusiness.It is well known to do in the countries of Asia.Instead of farming being about the money, it’s about health and caring for others.
